The existing tail wing processes mostly adopt plastic injection molding or fiber composite vacuum injection molding, but there are the following disadvantages:

The tail wing of injection molding has insufficient rigidity and strength and short service life;

The surface appearance of plastic tail and vacuum pouring tail is not beautiful, which can not meet the requirements of high-end models for unique and exquisite appearance;

The traditional tail wing is combined into an integral shape through the secondary bonding process, but this manufacturing method has the disadvantages of low processing efficiency, easy warpage and deformation of products, and the bonding gap seriously affects the appearance;

In addition, the automotive exterior trim and structural parts previously manufactured by vacuum pouring process or PCM prepreg molding in China are basically at the proofing level, and the size and performance are unstable, which can not meet the requirements of batch and stability of the automotive industry.

The HRC team explored a series of manufacturing and testing technologies such as material verification, structural design, simulation analysis, mold development, CNC tooling development, cementation tooling development and testing technology, broke through the difficulties one by one and successfully developed the integrated carbon fiber tail. It has complex shape, exquisite appearance, strict functional requirements and strong mechanical properties, and meets the lightweight requirements. The total weight is less than 1.6kg.

Advantages of carbon fiber tail

Reasonable product parting line design can control the product clamping line within 0.2mm and ensure the beautiful effect of 3K texture on its surface.

The appearance is protected by high transparent paint, which can meet the light aging test and heat aging performance test for more than 2000 hours, and ensure the exquisite appearance of the product.

The total weight of the product is less than 1.6kg. While realizing lightweight, it meets more than 30 performance verification, such as 5-200hz high-frequency vibration test and minus 30 ℃ low-temperature impact test.

The internal hollow structure design greatly reduces the weight of the product and effectively reduces the wind resistance and fuel consumption. The test shows that when the wind resistance coefficient is basically unchanged, the assembly of the product can increase the pressure at the maximum speed from 11kg to 40kg, which greatly enhances the handling stability.
