The Z series is an important series of Nissan sports car models, developed since the release of the first generation FairladyZ (locally known as FairladyZ in Japan) in 1969. The first five generations of Z series models include 240ZS30, 280ZS130, 300ZXZ31, 300ZZZ32, and 350ZZ33, which are well-known to domestic car enthusiasts and enjoy a unique position among global sports car enthusiasts. After years of evolution, the Nissan 370Z (Z34) is a sixth generation family member of the Z series and currently the most advanced product in the Z series. Its main competitors are targeting the BMW Z4 and Audi TT coupe.

As early as 2009, the 370Z, which had already been listed overseas, was not introduced domestically, but at least its appearance was not particularly unfamiliar to us. Many elements are similar to the predecessor model 350Z, but the 370Z is more aggressive and flamboyant in details. In addition, the body structure is more compact, with a wheelbase shortened by 100mm compared to 350Z, and the weight is also slightly reduced. A shorter wheelbase and stronger power will inevitably have a positive impact on driving and handling pleasure, at least according to Nissan's engineers.

In order to improve the handling limit and sporty temperament, the 370Z has chosen a dual wishbone front suspension and a multi link independent rear suspension with higher cost and accuracy. The red front 4-piston and rear single piston brake calipers not only visually enhance the overall effect, but also ensure braking performance. The test drive model used Yokohama ADVANSport tires for the front 225/50R18 and rear 245/45R18, which performed well in terms of economy and sportiness.

Like the exterior, the 370Z has many similarities in interior design with its predecessor, the 350Z. The design of the three spoke steering wheel, instrument panel, three barrel type auxiliary instruments on the center console, and even the air conditioning knob has been inherited. Compared to the old model, it is not as flashy here, but more three-dimensional and sporty. The combination of perforated leather and suede adds more pleasing decorations to its interior.

Overall, the interior of the 370Z is not dreamy luxury, but the quality of every detail is of great standard. The combination of metal, leather, and plastic is just right, adding a lot of texture to the vehicle. Even if it was designed many years ago, it now seems to be not outdated.
