How to Repair the Rusted Side Skirt?

The inside of the side skirt of the car is not painted, so it is rusted rather than the outside after the sheet metal. The best way to prevent rust inside the side skirt is to paint it. When the car is new, fill the side skirts on both sides of the car with paint, and then discharge it. After the paint is dry, fill it again.

In the process of sheet metal repair, the side skirt needs to be welded at a high temperature, which will damage the anti-corrosion coating of the original iron sheet of the car. After the repair of sheet metal, anti-rust wax can be used for internal rust prevention.

• Clean the inside of the side skirt before spraying to ensure that the metal surface is dry and oil-free;

• Insert the long and thin spray pipe with rust-proof wax into the mounting hole on the vehicle body for spraying;

• Spray the inside of the side skirt evenly.

The self-creeping property of antirust wax can be well sprayed to some relatively closed and narrow places; At the same time, the antirust wax has the characteristics of low-temperature resistance and high-temperature resistance, which can protect the metal well.

Rust repair of the side skirt

If the side skirt is rusted, the appropriate repair method should be selected according to the corrosion situation. If the corrosion is not very serious, you can use a paint repair pen to deal with it. Use very fine water sandpaper dipped in water to polish the rusty area in the same direction until the rust is removed.  After being wiped clean, the primer shall be applied, after the primer is dry, it shall be polished with sandpaper. Then apply the small pot of original factory paint that was prepared when you bought the car. 

If the corrosion is serious, you need to go to the 4S shop for polishing, welding, and then repainting.
